EeMR: New functions on the horizon
In the coming months, expect to see the following enhancements to the Emory Electronic Medical Records (EeMR) system:
- "M" page - One-page summary of patient data with links to more detailed information
- Ambulatory menu option in PowerChart
- True e-Rx - Feature that allows you to write and submit prescriptions electronically; includes access to insurance formulary information and a decision-support feature
- Rx refill - Electronic prescription refill requests received from the pharmacy
- Medication history - Medication history available from outside pharmacies and easily added to medication list, if appropriate
- Message center - Enhanced inbox that is easier to navigate and contains a reminder function, a spell check function and an out-of-office feature
