Emory MBNA Stroke Center

The Emory MBNA Stroke Center is dedicated to fostering better outcomes for stroke care. As a certified Primary Stroke Center, we provide rapid response in diagnosing and treating stroke patients. Our highly-specialized stroke experts collaborate at all stages of treatment, using the most advanced research and technology available. Our team consists of neurosurgeons and neurologists trained in all aspects of stroke care, neurointensivists specializing in emergency treatments for stroke, interventional neuroradiologists specializing in stroke diagnosis and less-invasive treatments, and pharmacists and nurses trained specifically in stroke care. The team, on-site 24/7, works closely together from the time a patient enters the center. Care is coordinated so that each physician evaluates the patient in the area that he or she specializes in, and then they decide together on which treatment is best. This means fast, efficient, and accurate treatment, which, in turn, leads to better chances for successful outcomes.

Stroke Treatments and Conditions:

The Emory Stroke center offers a full panorama of options for stroke treatment. From medicine to surgery and minimally invasive procedures, our treatments prevent stroke, treat stroke while it is happening, and aid in recovery. We are equipped with the diagnostic technology and extensive therapeutic knowledge to give you the individualized treatment you need.

The treatment you receive is largely determined by the type of stroke you have. Emory offers treatment for all types of stroke and stroke-related conditions:
