Dr. Mark Dannenbaum graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, in 1997. Following his graduation from medical school at The University of Texas-Houston, where he was inducted into AOA during his junior year, Dr. Dannenbaum entered the neurosurgery residency program at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he received the Iwata award for leadership in his chief residency year. After completing residency training, Dr. Dannenbaum went on the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School for fellowship training in vascular neurosurgery in 2008.

Dr. Dannenbaum began his practice at Emory in 2009, focusing primarily on vascular microneurosurgery and general neurosurgery, while simultaneously pursuing endovascular fellowship training. He currently sees patients in the Neurosurgery Clinic on the main Emory Campus and participates in call coverage for all Emory-affiliated institutions, including Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, Grady Memorial Hospital and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
