The Emory Clinic is a physician practice of more than 980 specialists, sub-specialists
and primary care physicians who care for patients at one of our many clinics,
hospitals and affiliates throughout the Metro Atlanta area. We recently celebrated
50 years of service to the community and, through those years, our physicians
and surgeons have been responsible for some of the most significant innovations
and treatments in health care.
Our specialty centers and programs are leaders in the nation including:
- The Emory Heart & Vascular Center,
consistently voted in the top ten in the country
according to U.S. News and World Report and renowned for many innovations.
Emory cardiologists were involved with the development of the first angioplasty
and a revolutionary procedure to repair babies' hearts.
- The Emory Winship Cancer Institute,
a leader in cancer care for more than 60 years including
clinical cancer treatment programs and both laboratory and clinical research.
- The Emory Transplant Center, since its first, a corneal in 1947,
Emory has performed
hundreds of transplants, including 250 heart and the first living-related
liver
transplant in Georgia. Transplant centers also include kidney, pancreas and
lung.
- Emory Neurology, an Emory neurologist developed a major breakthrough
brain
mapping system to aid surgery to treat Parkinson's Disease.
- The Emory Eye Center, the only center in Georgia consistently ranked
among the nation's top 20 according to U.S. News and World Report. Our ocular
specialists
treat more than 70,000 patients each year.
- Emory Orthopaedics and
The Spine Center,
one of our surgeons helped pioneer
a breakthrough technique to treat a fractured spine from the chest rather
than the back.

The Emory Clinic physicians admit patients primarily to Emory University Hospital,
Emory Crawford Long Hospital and other Emory regional affiliated hospitals.
In some instances, Emory physicians also admit patients to the VA Medical Center.
