Louisa earned her degree in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University in Boston, Ma. She has been providing Hand Therapy for over 25 years in the metro Atlanta area.

She became a Certified Hand Therapist in 1992 and was a lecturer at the 2011 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hand Therapists in Nashville, Tn. She has presented courses to OTs and PTs on various topics of Hand Therapy including: splinting, arthritis of the hand, hand trauma and upper extremity prosthetics.

She sees patients who have had an accident or trauma causing wounds, burns, injured tendons or nerves, fractures or amputations. In addition, she treats patients who suffer from chronic problems of the hand or arm, such as arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow. Workplace ergonomics and job site analyses are also available.

Her goal is to provide her patients with therapy to hasten their return to productive lifestyles. This could include a return to sports, playing an instrument, independence with daily living activities or return to work.

Louisa is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists, a member and past chairperson of the Georgia Hand and Upper Extremity Special Interest Group,& American OT Association, and member and past chairperson of the Georgia OT Association.
