About Dr. Dodson

Dr. Dodson is the Chief of Vascular Surgery at Emory Healthcare.  He served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School prior to his completing his vascular surgery fellowship at Emory in 1988. Dr. Dodson also continued his contribution to surgical education after he became a part of Emory faculty.

Dr. Dodson served as the Program Director of Emory General Surgery from 1991 until 2011. He has received several honors which included the J. Richard Amerson, M.D. Teaching Award and the best doctor awards. He has been on various surgical and vascular societies where his involvements lead him to serve as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Georgia Surgical Society until 2011.
