About Dr. Ford

Dr. Ford grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta and did all of his post-graduate training at Emory University in Atlanta. He is married to Dr. Mandy Ford, the scientific director for the Emory Transplant Center. Dr. Ford is committed to taking care of patients in Georgia with liver disease and has a particular interest in viral hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, young adults with liver disease, and liver disease as a result of congenital heart disease. His goal is to continue to improve the practical approach to diagnosis and treatment of liver disease, and ultimately improve outcomes. One of Dr. Ford’s patients was the first patient at Emory to have a combined heart-liver-kidney transplant. Dr. Ford earned a Certificate of Added Qualification in Transplant Hepatology in 2010.
