About Dr. Losken

Dr. Losken is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is the Hamm Professor of Surgery and Program Director in Emory University’s Division of Plastic Surgery. He specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, facial rejuvenation and body contouring. Dr. Losken earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School, where he graduated with the highest honors, and completed his general surgery and plastic surgery training at Emory University.

He is former chief of Plastic Surgery at the Atlanta VA Hospital and currently Chief at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. He is voted by peers as one of “Atlanta’s Top Doctors” and has received “Teacher of the Year” award at Emory on numerous occasions. He is a member of local and national plastic surgery societies and is an annual speaker at numerous plastic and reconstructive surgery meetings. His contributions to the field include more than 100 scientific articles on all aspects of plastic surgery and numerous book chapters focusing on breast reconstruction. He has edited books on breast reconstruction and abdominal wall reconstruction.
