About Adult Inpatient Psychiatry

Our History

The Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Service is the Emory University Department of Psychiatry's inpatient unit for adults ages 18 and older. Continuing a rich heritage as one of the southeast's and Nation's premiere psychiatric facilities, the Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Service was one of the first inpatient services to integrate psychiatric and medical treatment modalities and has maintained a location that is hospital-based, providing access to the best medical practices across all disciplines.
