The Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Service provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and state of the art treatment in a secure, inpatient setting. Currently ranked 15th among the nation's top psychiatric hospitals by US News and World Report, the Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Service specializes in the treatment of patients with difficult to manage psychiatric illnesses.

The Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Service offers expert diagnosis and treatment for adults ages 18 and older with mood disorders such as Depression, Bipolar Disorder, thought disorders including Schizophrenia, and substance use disorders requiring medically supervised detoxification from alcohol, benzodiazipines, and opiates. Our location within a university hospital setting affords us the opportunity to provide psychiatric treatment to individuals having co-existing medical conditions.
