Pulmonary Hypertension Team

Welcome to the Pulmonary Hypertension Program at The Emory Clinic, a subspecialty clinic within the Emory Advanced Lung Disease Center.

The program director is Dr. Micah Fisher, MD. Dr. Fisher has over 10 years of experience treating patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH) and other pulmonary vascular diseases. Our program has expanded, we currently have nearly 500 patients on therapy for pulmonary hypertension.

Mission statement:   To provide a comprehensive program for patients with known or suspected PH, utilizing accurate diagnostics, education, research, and the complete spectrum of available therapies to treat patients with confirmed pulmonary hypertension. This therapeutic spectrum includes oral therapies, parenteral and inhaled prostanoid therapy and lung transplantation when appropriate.

Accurate diagnosis is the most important factor in determining the appropriate therapy for any pulmonary vascular disease.  Drs. Fisher and Quintero are skilled in performing Right Heart Catheterization, a procedure essential to confirming diagnosis and guiding decisions for therapy.

Our team is staffed with two fellowship-trained Physicians, a specialty trained Physician Assistant, Nurses, Research Coordinators and Secretaries, all with vast experience in caring for patients with pulmonary hypertension. Our passion, experience and devotion makes the difference in our patient care.
