Abdominal Imaging
The Emory Division of Abdominal Imaging offers a full range of diagnostic and interventional procedures utilizing state-of-the art equipment. Abdominal radiology concentrates on areas of the body such as the gastrointestinal and urinary tracts, as well as organs of the abdominal and pelvic regions.
The Division provides a full range of state-of-the-art diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as:
- 3-D Virtual Colonoscopy
- Ablation of Hepatic Tumors
- Percutaneous Lung Biopsy and Other Thoracic Interventions
- Non-Vascular Interventional Procedures, including:
- Percutaneous Abscess Drainage and Cholecystotomy
- Percutaneous Ethanol Tumor Ablation (disintegration)
- Sclerosis of hepatic and renal cysts and lymphoceles
- CT (computed tomography) Arterial Portography and CT Angiography
- Abdominal and Pelvic MRI (magnetic resonance imaging)
The Emory Division of Abdominal Imaging provides services at Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory University Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
