The Emory Division of Abdominal Imaging offers a full range of diagnostic and interventional procedures utilizing state-of-the art equipment. Abdominal radiology concentrates on areas of the body such as the gastrointestinal and urinary tracts, as well as organs of the abdominal and pelvic regions.

KEY PROCEDURES

The Division provides a full range of state-of-the-art diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as:

• 3-D Virtual Colonoscopy
• Ablation of Hepatic Tumors
• Percutaneous Lung Biopsy and Other Thoracic Interventions
• Non-Vascular Interventional Procedures, including:
  • Percutaneous Abscess Drainage and Cholecystotomy
  • Percutaneous Ethanol Tumor Ablation (disintegration)
  • Sclerosis of hepatic and renal cysts and lymphoceles
• CT (computed tomography) Arterial Portography and CT Angiography
• Abdominal and Pelvic MRI (magnetic resonance imaging)
