Orthopaedics Rehabilitation Program
The Orthopaedics Rehabilitation Program is an acute rehabilitation program specifically designed for individuals who are medically stable with rehabilitation needs due to orthopedic conditions, multiple trauma, and musculoskeletal diseases. The goal is to assist the patient toward maximal independence and to integrate the patient back into his family and community.
Our clinical program focuses on:
- Medical management
- Interdisciplinary treatment plans
- Strengthening and flexibility
- Safety management and fall prevention
- Minimize gait dysfunction
- Early comprehensive discharge planning
- Community re-integration
- Wellness and prevention education
Admission criteria:
- At least 18 years of age
- A medical condition requiring an intensive rehabilitation program
- The ability to participate in at least three hours of therapy a day
- A support system committed to participating in decision making conferences and education
- An identified discharge plan
