J. Trad Wadsworth, MD, FACS

Dr. Wadsworth is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at Emory University School of Medicine and  Vice Chairman, Clinical Affairs in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Emory Healthcare. His expertise includes head and neck oncologic surgery, microvascular reconstruction surgery, parathyroid and thyroid surgery. In addition, Dr. Wadsworth serves on the Robotic Surgery Committee of Emory Healthcare to develop credentialing and quality standards for surgery with this newly applied technology.

The Road to Emory: Education

Dr. Wadsworth attended medical school at the University of South Florida and completed his six-year internship and residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School and his two-year Head and Neck Oncologic and Microvascular Reconstruction Surgery Fellowship at the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2001. He joined the Emory faculty in 2009.


Dr. Wadsworth has received numerous awards and honors including the Gary L Schechter, MD memorial Faculty Teaching Award, America’s Top Doctors, and Best Doctors of America
