Prostate Cancer Screening at Saint Joseph's

Please check back for dates of future prostate cancer screening events.

The Prostate Cancer Center at Saint Joseph's is committed to men's health and to increasing survival after prostate cancer. We currently follow the American Urological Association (AUA) Guidelines for Prostate Cancer Screening which recommends a baseline prostate-specific antigen blood test (PSA) along with a digital rectal exam (DRE) beginning at age 40. Following the initial screening, annual screenings should be done to track changes in the PSA level (and the prostate itself) which can be an indication of a problem. All screenings for prostate cancer are done by appointment only and are for men between the age of 40 and 75 who have never been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Eligibility for Prostate Cancer Screening:

Men between 40-75 years of age who have never been diagnosed with prostate cancer. We offer free prostate cancer screenings several times per year, but it is only necessary to be screened once a year. Men under the age of 40 of African-American decent or with a family history of prostate cancer are eligible due to increases risk. Questions?
