Jamila Kindall, MS, ATC

Jamila KindallJamila Kindall joined the Emory Sports Medicine Team in August 2013 and is the clinical athletic trainer for Dr. Brandon Mines. She assists with clinical operation and orthopedic procedures. Jamila came to Emory from Birmingham, Al after working as a clinic-outreach athletic trainer at local high schools for the last 5 years. Jamila received her B.S. in Exercise Science from Georgia State University and received a M.S. in Health & Human Performance with concentration in Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. While at Chattanooga, she worked as a student athletic trainer covering football and women’s basketball. After graduate school, Jamila pursued training in massage therapy from Birmingham School of Massage. She is certified in professional massage and neuromuscular therapy and specializes in Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, and sports massage. She had the opportunity to be a member of the medical team at the 2012 Olympics in London as a sports massage practitioner working at the Olympic Village. Jamila enjoys travelling, playing basketball, trying new restaurants and adventures, and spending time with family and friends.
