Our Mission

The Emory Center for Heart Failure Therapy and Transplantation provides state-of-the-art evaluation and therapy for adults with problems ranging from asymptomatic left ventricular function to advanced heart failure and congenital heart disease. We strive to be premier providers of patient care in an outpatient setting. Our customers include our heart transplant patients and their families as well as our referring physicians and the community.

Emory Heart Transplant Program Highlights

Emory Transplant Center is the first multiple organ transplant center in Georgia.

1985 - First adult heart transplant in Georgia was performed at Emory.

1988 - First heart/lung transplant in Georiga was performed at Emory.

Since 1988 - Emory has performed over 20% of all heart transplants in the state of Georgia.
