Immunizations of Special Importance

Hepatitis A
Recommended for all travelers to developing countries

Yellow Fever
Required for travelers to endemic areas

  • For travelers who need yellow fever vaccination, please note there is a nationwide shortage of yellow fever vaccine at this time; therefore, we might not have it immediately available during your visit.  Periodically, we can acquire limited numbers of yellow fever vaccine doses to administer to those who need the vaccine urgently.  Please ask to discuss this with one of our travel providers if you have any questions

Recommended for travelers to developing countries where there is prolonged travel off the usual tourist routes or where there is anticipated exposure to impure water and unhygienic food

Meningococcal Meningitis
Recommended for travelers visiting areas recognized as having seasonal outbreaks or epidemic meningococcal disease.  May be required in certain circumstances

Recommended for travelers who will be living or working in countries where rabies is endemic, especially in the domestic population. Children are at greater risk. If exposed through an animal bite, post-exposure shots are required even if a prevention shot was given

Japanese Encephalitis
Recommended for travelers to endemic regions (rice growing/pig farming areas) in rural and Southeast Asia

*Please note that vaccines for cholera and travelers diarrhea are not available in the U.S.  Please call us if you have any questions about these vaccines.
