EMORY CLINIC
Urological conditions such as bladder control issues and erectile dysfunction can disrupt your life. These issues can be difficult to talk about and maybe keeping you from seeing a doctor. Don’t let embarrassment hold you back from getting the care you need. Emory Clinic urologists understand these issues and can help you get back to your life. We’ll treat you with compassion and with the respect you deserve. And, in the case that your condition is more serious, we can help with that too.

“I owe much appreciation to Emily McDowell and I feel my outcome is due in the greatest part to the incredible surgical skill, judgment, experience, and knowledge of Dr. Filson.” – Kevin, Prostate Cancer Patient Testimonial

Your Emory Clinic urology team uses research-based innovation in all areas of specialized care, including robotic surgery, reconstructive urology, men's health & infertility, kidney stones & stone disease treatment, urologic oncology for the treatment of cancers, as well as female incontinence and pelvic surgery.

Delivering Outstanding Patient Care

The Emory Clinic urology team is not only guided by leading medical research and education, we help make the discoveries. The doctors and nurses making up your team could just be the pioneers of your treatment. They receive awards and recognition year after year at regional and national levels, so you can walk in knowing you’re in good hands.

A Message from the Chairman

Whether you are a patient, a referring physician, or a prospective candidate for employment or training, I hope that our website will provide you a fitting introduction to our team and how we can serve you. Emory Urology is among the foremost programs for delivering sophisticated, patient-centered care across the entire spectrum of adult and adolescent urological conditions. Our doctors have been recognized by innumerable national and regional awards and commendations. We take care of more than 15,000 patients with urological diseases annually. Our surgical expertise spans the gamut from the most routine urological procedures to the most complex cases referred to us from urologists across the region and throughout the country. We practice at 4 hospitals: Emory University Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, and the Atlanta VA Medical Center. Our residents and fellows also work with affiliated Pediatric Urology faculty at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

In addition to exemplary patient-centered care, Emory Urology does much more: Scientists and physician-scientists in our Department are developing new treatments for both urological cancers (including prostate, bladder, kidney, and penile cancer) and non-cancerous urologic problems (including kidney stones, male infertility, urinary incontinence, urinary reconstruction, erectile dysfunction and more). Many of the country’s top urological surgeons, including Department Chairs at other leading institutions, started their careers at Emory.
