Bariatrics Center

The Comprehensive Weight Loss Center at Emory Decatur is made up of experts in the field of weight loss surgery who specialize in Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Loop DS and Lap Band procedures with complication rates well below the national average.

Behavioral Health Services

Behavioral Health Services at Emory Decatur Hospital offers crisis intervention and crisis stabilization services for adults of all ages for mental illness, substance use disorder and detoxification where an acute inpatient level of care is needed. Our clinical staff provides assessments, initial treatment plans and appropriate dispositions 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week for patients in the Emergency Department or on medical units within the hospital. Heart and Vascular Services

Our Heart and Vascular program focuses on reducing the incidence of cardiac and vascular disease through prevention programs and the latest diagnostic and treatment procedures. Services include:

Emergency Department

Our emergency department (ED) is staffed by specialty-trained, board-certified physicians as well as emergency medical care nurses certified in trauma care and advanced cardiac and pediatric life support. Emory Decatur Hospital provides Atlanta emergency medical services to over 65,000 patients each year in emergency medical care rooms designated to handle cardiac emergencies, resuscitation and stabilization, isolation, and surgical, orthopedic and gynecological procedures.

Heartburn Solutions

Our expert staff has the capability to thoroughly evaluate your condition and deliver treatment choices that will finally provide the relief you deserve. At our Heartburn Solutions Center, we will give you information on what causes GERD, GERD symptoms, diagnosing GERD and what heartburn treatment options are available to improve your quality of life.

We have state-of-the-art technology to test the function of the esophagus, measure acid levels and evaluate for pre-cancerous conditions. We can then deliver treatment tailored specifically for you, whether it is medication or the latest in minimally invasive surgery. The Heartburn Solutions Center at Emory Decatur Hospital has even been selected as one of the first Centers nationally to offer the LINX Reflux Management Device, which is the latest in GERD treatments.

In addition, our specially trained Nurse Navigator assures you an outstanding experience overseeing the scheduling and completion of your evaluation and treatment. You have one single point of contact supplying access, education, convenience and support. Hyperbarics and Wound Care Services

The Emory Decatur Hospital Comprehensive Wound Care Center provides specialized treatment, including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, for chronic or non-healing wounds, which are defined as sores or wounds that have not significantly gotten better during the course of conventional treatment.

With the state-of-the-art treatment available at our Comprehensive Wound Care Center, patients with slow-healing wounds no longer have to suffer. Our comprehensive approach can heal wounds that have resisted other treatments, and help you avoid loss of limbs, reduce incidence of recurrence and get your life back.

Maternity Services

The Women's Services team is fully equipped to handle all of the various stages, aspects and wonders of pregnancy and childbirth. The Women’s Center offers a comprehensive array of obstetrics, gynecological and maternity services, with an emphasis on family centered maternity care. There are 18 private Labor-Delivery-Recovery (LDR) suites, which give expectant mothers the convenience and comfort of staying in the same room before, during and after delivery. There are also 52 private, postpartum Mother-Baby rooms with free high-speed Internet access, private bathrooms and window seat couches roomy enough for dads to sleep over.

Podiatry

Atlanta podiatry patients at Emory Decatur Hospital have access to some of the top podiatric talent in the country through our Podiatric Surgery Residency Program. Founded in July 1969, the three-year podiatry training program specializes in diabetic foot care, preventing foot problems, common foot and ankle problems, and surgical solutions.

Emory Decatur Hospital chooses four physicians each year to serve their residency in our premiere program. These physicians are often in the top 10 percent of their medical school class across the country.

Radiology and Imaging Services

Emory Decatur Hospital offers state-of-the-art radiology and medical imaging services and facilities for a variety of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging procedures. We work with some of the best Atlanta radiologists and medical imaging technologists who provide medical imaging services on our hospital campuses and through the outpatient Diagnostic Imaging Center and Diagnostic Breast Center.

Rehabilitation Services

Emory Decatur Hospital's rehab services provide comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs that optimize patient health, function and quality of life. Within supportive and dynamic care environments, the organization's expert rehabilitation team offers advanced treatments tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals. Comprehensive rehabilitation programs address the medical, physical, emotional and vocational challenges of individuals with a wide variety of conditions.

Our specialized and intensive rehab services are designed to restore strength, improve physical function and promote independence in activities of daily living. Our rehabilitation teams are trained and certified in a variety of areas, including lymphedema therapy, hand therapy, occupational rehabilitation, manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation and more.

Sleep Disorders Center

Since 1995, Emory Decatur Hospital’s expert Sleep Disorders Center staff and physicians have helped people diagnose their chronic sleep disorders. Our Sleep Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Our staff can develop the right sleep disorder solution to treat your sleep problem.

People with chronic sleep disorders experience excessive daytime sleepiness, loud snoring, pauses in their breathing while sleeping, legs that move during sleep, or tiredness immediately after waking in the morning. Sleep disorder solutions can range from lifestyle and diet changes, to the use of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), or in severe cases, surgery. The key to successful treatment is to properly diagnose a chronic sleep disorder.
