About Dr. Hayek

Brent Hayek, MD, is currently an associate professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Emory University School of Medicine. He joined the section of Oculoplastics, Orbital and Cosmetic Surgery in 2008. For the last 10 years his areas of expertise include both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures of the eyelids, face, orbit, and tear drain. He was the Emory site principal investigator for a novel drug treatment for moderate to severe thyroid eye disease that received recent publication in the New England Journal of Medicine.

He also serves on the Emory Global Ophthalmology Committee and travels internationally several times a year to train local ophthalmologists skills in oculoplastic surgery.
