Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy is medicine that kills cancer cells or shrinks tumors. Your cancer doctor may combine chemotherapy with radiation therapy or surgery.
Diagnostic Imaging
Imaging tests such as X-rays, ultrasounds and magnetic resonance imaging (MRIs) help your cancer doctor determine the type, size and location of a tumor.
Limb Sparing Surgery
Limb sparing surgery can save an arm or leg damaged by a tumor. Bone surgeons may use bone grafts or artificial bone to replace cancerous bone.
Radiation
X-rays or other types of radiation can kill cancer cells and shrink cancerous tumors. Your cancer doctor may combine radiation therapy with chemotherapy or surgery.
Rotationplasty
Bone surgeons may use this type of limb sparing surgery to repair cancerous hip or knee joints.
Spinal Tumor Treatment
Surgery is often used to remove all or part of the tumor. The tumor, along with a margin of normal tissue around it, is removed when possible.
Tumor Resection
You may have surgery to remove all or part of a tumor. You may also have chemotherapy or radiation to lower the risk that the cancer will spread.
