Varicose veins are more than just a cosmetic concern for women and men — they may also cause pain and make life uncomfortable. If are experiencing leg pain, fatigue, heaviness, aching, burning, throbbing, itching, cramping, swelling or restlessness as a result of varicose veins, Emory Vein Center offers you comprehensive treatment options.
Treatments and services:
Conservative Management – Lifestyle changes like exercise, weight loss, and compression stockings may help reduce the occurrence of and discomfort caused by varicose veins.
Varicose Vein Ablation – For a more permanent solution, vein ablation using VNUS Closure, Varithena™ or the VenaSeal™ Closure System provides varicose vein pain relief. This minimally invasive treatment option uses lasers or radiofrequency to seal and close the damaged veins. Healthy veins are then able to take over the transport of blood from the legs back to the heart. Vein ablation is performed in an outpatient setting and may be covered in part or in full by insurance.
