Cancer/Oncology

Because Emory Saint Joseph’s is now part of the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, Georgia's only NCI-designated cancer center, we can provide our patients access to many clinical trials and resources that may not be available elsewhere. As one of the leading cancer referral centers in the Southeast, Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital is at the forefront of these advancements. We are currently participating in more than 60 clinical trials for all types of cancer, as well as national cancer prevention studies for patients with increased risk. And we are dedicated to translating this research experience into better outcomes for our patients.

Emergency Care

Our Emergency Department (ED) is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is staffed with board-certified emergency medical physicians and nursing specialists at all times. We treat patients for a variety of emergency medical conditions, both major and minor. The entire ED staff is committed to providing you with quality care in a private, comfortable setting.

Gamma Knife

Orthopaedics

Orthopaedic and spine patients can access services needed in preparation for and on the day of surgery at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital Orthopaedics & Spine Pavilion. The building, designed around patients and their families' needs, includes pre-admission testing, registration, preparation and recovery areas, and technologically advanced operating suites. And our specialized teams are made up of orthopaedic and spine doctors, nurses, and physical therapists.

We offer minimally invasive and robotic-assisted approaches. The Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital Orthopaedics & Spine Pavilion is located in the Harold Harrison Pavilion on the ground floor.

Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care department is a resource and a ministry that attends to one's spirit, faith, and inner strength sources. Chaplains affirm the spirituality of each person, including those who profess no particular religious belief. The Pastoral Care Department and the Emory Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) chaplains are integral parts of the clinical team at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital. They are available to support patients and families in times of need. To reach a chaplain, please call 678-843-4062.

The Chapel

The chapel is available for prayer and meditation and is located across from the gift shop. Catholic mass is celebrated in the chapel six days a week at 11 a.m., Monday through Friday. On Sunday, mass is held in the Auditorium on the ground floor. All worship services may be viewed on the hospital closed-circuit TV, channel 50, or 72.

Urology

The urologists who make up the team at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital are experts in their field, bringing academic- and research-based innovation to the clinical forefront. The capabilities of our Emory Healthcare urologists are extended through our close association with the Urology Specialists of Atlanta, a private practice based at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital. Combined, the team offers a broad range of general and specialized urologic expertise in areas of treatment such as robotic surgery, reconstructive urology, men’s health and infertility, urologic oncology (including our Active Surveillance program for low-risk prostate cancer patients), and female incontinence and pelvic surgery.

Visconti Center for Robotics

Saint Joseph's Visconti Center for Robotics offers patients the latest in minimally-invasive surgical approaches through the use of the da Vinci surgical system from Intuitive Surgical, Inc. Saint Joseph's is one of the few hospitals in the nation to offer robotic surgery for patients undergoing a wide variety of cardiac, thoracic, urological, gynecological and oncology procedures.
