EUH PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice

Alexander Aubin, PharmD

Dr. Alexander Aubin joins us from Dartmouth, Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate coursework and received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh. His professional interest is in solid organ transplant with a particular focus on immunocompromised infectious diseases. After successful completion of his PGY1, Alex intends on pursuing a PGY2 in transplant alongside precepting future groups of young pharmacists wherever he may wind up. In another life though, he is an expert in toxicology within correctional facility healthcare. Outside of pharmacy, when not geeking out with video games or fiction literature, Alex enjoys hiking, fermenting food products, and playing music.


Evan Hardbeck, PharmD

Dr. Evan Hardbeck is from Suwanee, Georgia. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Kennesaw State University and his Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University College of Pharmacy. His professional interest is in critical care. After completing his PGY1, Evan plans to pursue a PGY2 in critical care and ultimately become a clinical specialist at an academic medical center. Outside of pharmacy, Evan enjoys watching movies, spending time with friends, visiting breweries, and rock climbing.


Marion Javellana, PharmD

Dr. Marion Javellana grew up in a small town called Sleepy Hollow, New York, but has resided here in Georgia for about 8 years. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University College of Pharmacy. Her current areas of interest include Internal Medicine, Critical Care, and Academia. Ultimately, her goal is to be a board-certified clinical specialist, developing her expertise in her area of interest while also teaching the next generation of student pharmacists. She enjoys baking, exploring new restaurants, going on long hikes, and spending time with family and friends.


Kat Petersen, PharmD

Dr. Kat Petersen is from Dallas, TX. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy along with her Master of Public Health degree at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. Her primary current professional interest is solid organ transplant, and she hopes to pursue a PGY2 in this area following the completion of her PGY1. She ultimately hopes to work as a transplant clinical pharmacist in a large academic medical center and be involved in research, patient medication teaching, and precepting learners. Outside of pharmacy, Kat loves to travel, cook and explore new restaurants and bars, go on walks, and spend quality time with her friends.


Trisha Sharma, PharmD

Dr. Trisha Sharma is from Dallas, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas, and Master of Business Administration as well as Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas A&M University. Her current professional interests range from emergency medicine and critical care to oncology. Trisha aspires to pursue a PGY2 in one of her areas of interest and practice as a clinical specialist in a large academic institution. When she’s not doing pharmacy, you can find Trisha paddleboarding at the closest lake, exploring coffee shops across town, or staying in and watching movies. 


Ryan Vathy, PharmD

Dr. Ryan Vathy is from Southaven, Mississippi. He received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!). His current professional interests include infectious diseases, internal medicine, and critical care. After his PGY-1, Ryan hopes to pursue a PGY-2 in one of his areas of interest and then practice as an inpatient clinical specialist where he is able to precept future pharmacy students and residents. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and their mini aussiedoodle, Ava, going to concerts in Atlanta, and watching Ole Miss Sports.

EUH PGY-2 Critical Care

Nick Tran, PharmD

Dr. Nick Tran is from Los Angeles, California. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Southern California and his Doctor of Pharmacy from the USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He completed his PGY-1 residency at UMass Memorial Medical School. His current professional interests include critical care and emergency medicine. After completion of his PGY-2 in critical care, he intends to become a clinical specialist at an academic medical center, where he can practice in multiple critical care and emergency medicine settings, conduct practice-changing research, and precept students and residents. Outside of the pharmacy, Nick enjoys running his foodie Instagram account, traveling, lifting weights, attending sporting events, going to EDM concerts, working on German cars, photography, and taking on new challenges and hobbies.

Sahand GolpayeganySahand Golpayegany

Dr. Sahand Golpayegany is from Marietta, Georgia. He completed his pre-pharmacy coursework and Doctor of Pharmacy at The University of Georgia. He completed his PGY-1 residency at Emory University Hospital. After completion of his PGY-2, Sahand plans to pursue a position on a hospital’s ID consult service as a clinical specialist and potentially also pursue a career in academia or the pharmaceutical industry. Outside of pharmacy, Sahand loves to travel, try new restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops, experiment with different methods of making coffee, and watching TV.

Kyle Furlow, PharmD

EUH Chief Resident

Dr. Kyle Weber Furlow is from Jacksonville, Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The University of Alabama and his Master of Health Informatics along with his Doctor of Pharmacy from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed his PGY-1 residency at Emory University Hospital. His current professional interests include internal medicine and transitions of care. Ultimately after completion of his PGY-2 in internal medicine, he intends to become a clinical specialist at an academic medical center, where he can conduct research and precept students and residents. Outside of the pharmacy, Kyle enjoys exercising, visiting breweries around the city, trying out new restaurants, and finding the best place to get coffee.

EUH PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant

Angelly Miane, PharmD

Dr. Angelly Joy Miane is from Pomona, New York. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and completed her PGY-1 residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. Her current professional interests include post-transplant infectious complications and pediatrics to adult transitions of care. After completion of her PGY-2, Angelly hopes to practice as a solid organ transplant clinical specialist at an academic medical center, where she can provide patient counseling and precept pharmacy learners. Outside of the pharmacy, Angelly enjoys watching movies, going to concerts, roller skating and trying out new restaurants!

EUH Nutrition Support Pharmacy Fellowship

Kenny Ngo, PharmD

Dr. Kenny Ngo is from Macon, Georgia and attended Mercer University where he majored in health sciences with a minor in chemistry.  He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia.  His professional interests include nutrition support and transitions of care. After completion of his fellowship in nutrition support, Kenny hopes to practice as a nutrition support clinical specialist at an academic medical center, where he can optimize IV nutrition and precept pharmacy students/residents.  Outside of the hospital, Kenny enjoys playing video games, playing board games, cooking, and sleeping.
