Risk Factors

Playing golf has many positives for your health and well-being.  It has been shown to have positive effects on mood as well. However, there are certain risk factors verified by medical studies that can make a golfer more vulnerable to injury including:

  • decreased trunk flexibility and strength
  • restricted motion
  • poor warmup
  • prior injury
  • swing faults
  • excessive play
  • improper clubs
  • poor footwear
  • carrying clubs
