Breast Cancer Patient Support

We know that cancer patients and families need more than just medical care. Below you'll find a list of Emory's social services and support groups that can help you and your family navigate your breast cancer journey.

Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Group

This support group is for patients with and survivors of metastatic breast cancer. Please call 404-778-5926 to reserve your space.

Peer Partner Program

This program trains cancer survivors on how to provide counseling to patients just starting journey. Potential partners must meet the following criteria:

  • Be one year post-treatment
  • Have a healthy perspective on cancer survivorship
  • Have a positive attitude and be mentally stability
  • Be committed to the program and follow its guidelines
  • Sign a confidentiality agreement
  • Undergo and pass a background check
  • Complete a training workshop

Spiritual Guidance

At Emory Healthcare, the personal and spiritual concerns of our patients and families are important to us. Our Spiritual Health Department is ready to offer spiritual care and support for you and your family.

Patient Counseling

Counseling can help improve your mental well-being and enhance your quality of life. These sessions can help you better communicate with family and friends and create healthy dialogue around your cancer fears. Nurse Navigator Program

This program connects newly diagnosed patients with a Nurse Navigator (registered nurse) who serves as their point of contact throughout their journey. The Nurse Navigator is available to answer your questions, help with decision-making, coordinate care and provide emotional support. It is our goal to make sure that all of our patients receive the support and services they need.

Support Services

At Emory, we know that cancer patients and families need more than just top-notch medical care. Our Patient and Family Resource Center offers a peaceful area where patients and their family members may congregate, explore educational resources, meet with volunteers, or just relax and read or listen to music.

Our Radiance Boutique offers a wide range of services and products to help you look and feel your best during and after cancer treatment. Our certified professionals offer personal fittings and private consultations to help your choose the products that are right for you. We offer post-breast surgery products, compression products for men and women, wigs and headwear, along with skin and hair care products.
