Testing and Diagnostic Services

Testing and diagnosis of the etiology of the dizziness is multi-factorial. Determination of the cause of dizziness heavily relies on both subjective reports from the individual paired with objective findings. Some examples of objective tests that are performed at the Emory Dizziness and Balance Clinic are:

  • Videonystagmography (VNG)
  • Video Head Impulse Test (vHIT)
  • Caloric Testing
  • Rotary Chair Test
  • Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (VEMPs)
  • Balance Assessment
  • Gait Assessment
