Infectious Disease Care at Emory

Advanced Care for HIV, Hepatitis, and Other Complex Infectious Diseases

Infectious diseases—illnesses caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi—can have long-term effects on your health and life. Getting the right infectious disease care is important for your body and mind.

The Emory Infectious Diseases team has experience caring for the most complex infectious disease, including:

  • Ebola virus
  • Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)
  • Hepatitis
  • Lyme Disease
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
  • Zika virus

We also care for travel-related infections and life-threatening infections that can occur after organ transplantation.

Innovative Infectious Disease Care

At Emory, we offer the most advanced therapies to treat infection and prevent the spread to others. We also conduct infectious disease research and clinical trials, which means you have access to the latest in infectious disease care, including new medications and vaccines.

Compassionate Infectious Disease Care

If you have an infectious disease, it’s not just your physical health that’s affected. Your mental health may need care, too. Our team provides whole-person infectious disease care so that you can heal physically and emotionally.

HIV/AIDS Support and Education

The Emory Infectious Diseases team is building a healthier community for those affected by HIV/AIDS. We offer education and support through our federally funded Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program. This program includes men’s and women’s support groups, nutrition classes, food delivery, and mental health services.
