Over the years, daily sun exposure, stress, and the normal aging process can make the skin look tired and dry, causing fine lines and wrinkles to appear. Other factors, such as genetics and smoking, further accelerate the natural aging process, causing premature aging of the skin. Furthermore, tissue elasticity and natural fat stores decline with age, giving the face a hollow, sunken appearance.

To combat these signs of early aging, the Emory Aesthetic Center offers an array of nonsurgical cosmetic treatments, including facial fillers and injectables, skin care services like microdermabrasion and chemical peels, along with minimally invasive cosmetic procedures such as body sculpting and varicose vein treatment. Many of our nonsurgical cosmetic services can complement the results of a cosmetic procedure, enhancing and prolonging the results achieved in the operating room. Non-invasive treatments are also available to improve the contour and appearance of the body and extremities.

Consultations with our cosmetic surgeons and experienced personnel are complimentary. Let our team of physicians or licensed aestheticians help you determine which combination of procedures and skincare products will best meet your needs.

Injectables - Botox, Dysport, Xeomin

The wrinkle-reducing injectables, Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin, are available at Emory Aesthetic Center. Taking only minutes to apply, these FDA-approved injectables can eliminate deep forehead lines, frown lines between the brows, and crow's feet at the corners of the eyes. By relaxing the muscles that result in wrinkles, Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin take years off of the appearance, with benefits that last from three to four months.

Dermal Fillers

Fillers are a great way to immediately smooth out wrinkles and facial creases. Several formulas of dermal fillers are available at Emory Aesthetic Center, each specifically designed to treat facial lines and restore volume under the eyes, across the cheeks, or along the jawline. Dermal fillers are safe for all skin types and ethnicities. The results can be seen right away, and the natural-looking results from dermal fillers will last from six months to a year.

Kybella, made from Deoxycholic Acid, is the first FDA-approved injectable treatment to eliminate the double chin. By targeting and destroying fat cells, which are then naturally eliminated by the body, Kybella permanently eliminates troublesome submental fat. Three to six Kybella sessions, each consisting of up to 50 tiny injections, will be necessary for optimum results. Once the Kybella treatment series is complete, no further sessions are required.

Photofacials/IPL Therapy

Photofacials with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) can quickly and effectively eliminate freckles, dark spots, and areas of sun damage. This noninvasive treatment will reverse the signs of early aging, and can even benefit patients who are suffering the Rosacea. An IPL treatment causes blood vessels and collagen stores within the skin to constrict, which then eliminates redness, and eases tissues to create a smoother, more even appearance. An IPL treatment is not painful, takes only minutes in the office, and requires no downtime. IPL can be useful almost anywhere on the body including the face, arms, back, and hands.

Facial Peel

Chemical peels have come a long way over the years. They are now one of the most popular and easily customizable procedures available for skin rejuvenation. Today's peels, composed of numerous rejuvenating agents and restorative acids, can benefit almost any patient, and range from mild skin refreshing formulas to deep skin resurfacing. Whether someone is looking to halt the signs of early aging, or reverse sun damage, there is a facial peel available to do the job. The vibrant, healthy, youthful results will last for months to come.

Microdermabrasion can provide patients a soft, smooth, glowing complexion through a simple office treatment. By eliminating the top layer of dead, dry, damaged skin, microdermabrasion gives fresh, youthful tissue a chance to appear. Fine lines, crow's feet, hyperpigmentation, scars, and facial blemishes are easily eliminated with microdermabrasion. Much gentler on the skin than traditional dermabrasion methods, microdermabrasion provides dramatic skin rejuvenation and a glowing appearance.

Scar Revision

Scars from acne, illness, surgery, or trauma can cause embarrassment and shame. The professionals at the Emory Aesthetic Center provide several options in scar revision that can restore a pleasing appearance to the skin. Depending on the individual patient and level of correction required, topical therapies, laser treatments, and steroid injections can be extremely beneficial. For those patients with thick scarring or extreme discoloration, the surgeons at Emory Aesthetic Center can also recommend more invasive scar treatments, as needed.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a safe, non-surgical procedure designed to permanently reduce unwanted hair on the face, chest, legs, and bikini line. Shaving and waxing can be time-consuming and frustrating, as stubble quickly reappears. Using a safe, hand-held laser, the aesthetic professionals at Emory Aesthetic Center can easily and permanently eliminate hair almost anywhere on the body. As hairs grow in various phases, between six and eight laser removal treatments will be required for the best results.

Reverse the early signs of aging and fine lines with micro-needling. The noninvasive treatment uses several tiny needles to make microscopic pricks in the skin's surface, which then trigger the tissue's natural healing response. By regenerating the body's natural collagen supply, the skin's youthful elasticity can be resorted. Only topical anesthesia is required with micro-needling, and patients can resume their usual activities the same afternoon. This noninvasive procedure will require three to five sessions, spaced four weeks apart.
