Tennis Medicine Program
Welcome to The Tennis Medicine Program
Get back on the court as quickly as you can with Emory Sports Medicine Center’s tennis medicine program. We offer specialized treatment for a wide range of tennis-related injuries, whether you’re a competitive or recreational player. Our doctors help tennis players of all ages and abilities, in a way that is specific to the game.
Solve the root cause of your injury
We look for the root cause of every injury. Body mechanics, volume of play, equipment, inflexibility or strength deficits can all cause or aggravate an injury. Knowing the source of the problem is key to finding a long-term solution.
Once we identify the root cause of your tennis injury, we start your treatment. We also recommend ideal training, and when appropriate, help you learn how to modify your tennis stroke. This lets you play safely through injury, and keeps you healthy on the court.
Our three-part tennis medicine program
Some doctors offer standard treatments to tennis players without seeing how they play. At Emory, we know the more we know about your playing style, the better we can help you recover and prevent future injuries. That’s why our program includes:
- On-court tennis evaluations
- Ongoing communication with your coach or tennis pro
- Continuing education about tennis-specific treatment plans
