Fact: Now is the time to #FlattenTheCurveGA. Emory Healthcare is asking you to do your part by slowing the spread of COVID-19. Let's all stay home and do what we can to protect health care workers.
Fact: The best way to protect yourself from coronavirus (COVID-19) is by frequently cleaning your hands. Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses and can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth.
Fact: COVID-19 virus can be transmitted in ALL AREAS regardless of climate.
Fact: Taking a hot bath will not prevent coronavirus. Protect yourself by cleaning hands and avoid touching eyes, mouth and nose.
Fact: Emory is among US sites hosting a new clinical trial for COVID-19 treatment.
Fact: Avoiding contact with others will help protect you and others from possible COVID-19 and other viruses. Use a wave, a nod or a bow to practice social distancing if "greeting" others.
Fact: You can still pick up COVID-19 while wearing gloves and get the virus by touching your face.
Fact: Hand dryers and UV lamps do NOT effectively kill COVID-19.
Fact: Spraying alcohol or chlorine on your body is DANGEROUS and WILL NOT kill COVID-19.
