Hyperbarics and Wound Care Services

Emory Johns Creek Hospital’s Hyperbarics and Wound Care Services provides specialized treatment for people suffering from chronic or non-healing wounds.

These types of wounds are defined as sores, cuts or lesions that have not significantly improved from conventional treatments and generally do not respond to normal medical care within 30 days. Chronic wounds are often associated with inadequate circulation, poorly functioning veins and immobility. Non-healing wounds can lower quality of life and can lead to amputations.

When wounds persist, a specialized approach is required for healing. Our advanced, clinically proven treatment options, include:

  • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
  • Bio-engineering Tissue Substitutes
  • Negative Pressure Wound Therapy
  • Growth Factor Therapies
  • Advanced Dressings and Wraps
  • Debridement
  • Specialty Footwear

Emory Johns Creek Hospital’s Hyperbarics and Wound Care Services center offers coordinated care with multiple specialists including dieticians, endocrinologists, infectious disease, internal medicine, physical therapy, plastic surgery, podiatry and vascular surgery.
