Cancellations

Effective November 1, 2016, we will enforce our new No Show Policy. In an effort to provide better patient access to care, we have instituted a "No Show" policy which will take effect November 1, 2016. Patients that do not show for their appointment, same day cancellations, and/or patients that do not cancel their appointment 24 or more hours in advance of their scheduled visit will be charged a “No Show Fee”

For missed appointments, a “No Show Fee” charge of $30.00 will be charged to the patient. For missed physicals and New Patient appointments a charge of $90.00 will be charged to the patient. This charge is not billable to the insurance company and, therefore, will be due before future services are rendered.

Please be advised, this policy does not apply to patients who call to cancel their appointment 24 or more hours in advance of the scheduled visit.

Referrals

If you need to be scheduled for tests at other facilities, our Referral Coordinator is specially trained to assist you with the necessary arrangements. Please be aware that your insurance plan may define and/or limit the facilities you may use or the specialists you may see. Within our control, we will do what we can to accommodate your wishes.

Most insurance companies require an office visit about the condition for which you need a referral. We are unable to generate same-day referrals in our office unless it is an emergency situation. Our referral department requires 3-5 business days to meet your insurance requirements.

Lab Results

Your lab results can be emailed to you if we have your email address, or you may stop by the office and pick up a copy. Labs are usually available within seven days.

Labs can only be done with orders from a physician. Patients who would like certain labs done should make an appointment with their doctor.

Prescription Refills

Calls for routine prescription refills may take 24 hours to be called in. Please have your pharmacy fax a request to 770-925-1665. If you are a patient of Dr. Lim’s, please fax to: 678-475-2846. It is, however, always best to have an office visit whenever possible. This is in the interest of your best medical care. Please make every effort to ask for your routine refills during your office visits and bring your medicines with you. Antibiotic and narcotic prescription refills do require an office visit.

Medication prior authorizations may take up to one month for insurance approval. We will make every effort to speed this process, but it is usually outside of our control.

On-call physicians will not take any calls for prescription refills at night or on weekends. If you require a written prescription (for mail-order prescription services, etc.), please ask for these during a scheduled appointment.
