Dr. Pratik Sandesara graduated from the combined 6-year BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2013 and went on to do his residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University. Following residency, Dr. Sandesara stayed at Emory for general cardiology fellowship in the clinical-investigator track. He was highly productive during this time, with over 80 peer-reviewed publications in high impact medical journals and numerous national and international research presentations. He then completed his Interventional Cardiology training at Emory and served as the chief Interventional Cardiology fellow. He was one of the inaugural Complex and High-Risk Interventional Procedures (CHIP) fellows at Emory and was trained by well-regarded leaders in the field including Drs. William Nicholson, Wissam Jaber, and Stephane Rinfret.
Dr. Sandesara is passionate about high quality patient care, medical education, and clinical research. He will join the Division of Cardiology with a clinical focus on complex and high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention including chronic total occlusion revascularization. He aspires to be a valuable resource to fellows training and education and help advance the complex coronary revascularization program at Emory University.
