Dr. Verbitsky was a pleasant doctor when I first started coming here years ago. Over time, it feels like she doesn't really listen to what I'm saying. Even though her demeanor is calm and her tone is pleasant, she often seems to have her mind already made up about what she wants to do.I've told her multiple times how stressed I am at my job and how it's affecting my sleep. When she asked what I planned to do about it, I explained that I'm already seeing a therapist and that I need to take some time away from work. She said that sounded like a great plan, but her main focus remained on sleep apnea.

The doctor said my issues with fatigue, IBS, and fibromyalgia were due to my personality. She then asked if I was abused or had a traumatic childhood. I told her no and then said I did not agree that one's personality caused these issues although there may be correalations. She continued to comment it was tied to my my personality. I found this incredibly inappropriate as she clearly was dismissive. I have not experienced this type of interaction with a doctor in a very longtime.

It has been my concern that I'm not getting the best resolution for the issue/concerns I present. I think my concerns are being dismissive. For the time I've been coming, never have we gone over my chart/labs. Not saying I want something to be wrong with me but are there any areas that need to be addressed as I'm getting older. What more or less I need to do to improve. I guess as the saying goes, "if it's not broke don't fix it". But I still would like to know general feedback on how I'm doing.

This appointment started with me having to sign a form that I would not talk to the doc about anything outside the physical, or I would be charged extra. So, I honestly didn't know what was ok to say in there. Normally I would share facts about my general health, like feeling tired or finding weird spots or moles, or chronic insomnia. This may have been the most useless physical I ever had, because I can't talk about my health. But that wasn't Dr. Verbitsky's fault. I don't know whose new rule that is, whether Emory or insurance, but it severely limits the useful interaction with my doctor during an annual physical.

Almost always have a good and caring experience with Dr. Verbitsky sometimes hectic but always caring.

The visit felt rushed, but the doctor did listen to some of my symptoms before telling me she knew exactly what the diagnosis was, what to do about it, and what to do wasn't better in 2 weeks. She was probably correct, but I might have asked more questions about what caused this, was there another condition like arthritis going on, and if any exercises would be helpful (or the reverse), but the visit was over

Dr. Listened to my issues and read my handwritten notes then made very good suggestions and I came home to follow through and her instructions were perfect. Dr. Verbitsky is very caring and listens well. However, my main issue with this practice is difficulty in contacting and receiving input or follow up to an exam. For example, some of my test results came back as abnormal, and it took several days to get any input on what that means and what the next steps would be.

I've worked with my doctor for many years, several before she worked at Emory. She was able to be more comprehensive in her treatment pre-Emory. She seems quite rushed at Emory, which was never the case pre-Emory.

Exam (annual physical) was rushed. Provider did not listen. Noted med dosages incorrectly. Did not seem to care if I had any concerns. Which I did but got no chance to bring up. Seemed as though she was "going thru the motions" w no real concern for the human in front of her. In a hurry to move on.

The doctors nurses practitioners that take my blood pressure check my temperature they are always very courteous my doctor when she comes in the room she always include me in the conversation she checked me thoroughly if she leave blood work she lets me know so I can go to the 5th floor and get my blood work done very professional.

Dr. V has been my Gp over 25 years. On the last two visits I complained about the difficulty in getting an appointment. I also asked if she was cutting her patient load and was that the reason I could not get an appointment on a timely basis. She and I have disagreed on my diagnosis of Parkingsons . That being said, I would like for her to remain my Gp.
