Dr. Goyal is a cardiologist and epidemiologist who serves as an associate professor of medicine (Division of Cardiology) at the Emory School of Medicine with a joint appointment as assistant professor of Epidemiology at Emory Rollins School of Public Health. Dr. Goyal’s broad research interest involves population research investigating the link between dysglycemia and cardiovascular disease. Specific research interests include investigating hyperglycemia as a prognostic marker and therapeutic target in patients with acute coronary syndromes, and reducing cardiovascular risk in populations with diabetes mellitus.
