Dr. Juliao continues to be one of the very best doctors I have ever encountered.
Dr. Juliao has been my primary care physician for over 20 years. I have followed her to multiple office movies. I do not even live local to her locations, but continue to travel to see her because of her level of professionalism, thoroughness, and kindness. Dr. Juliao is always very attentive and happy to answer any questions that I may have about my medication or plan of care.
Dr. Juliao exhibits a genuine interest and concern about my health issues and explains her process of diagnosis and treatment very well.
To start my 4:15 virtual telehealth appt, I was instructed to sign on at 4:00pm which I did. No one checked in, so I messaged the appt chat function at 4:15 pm and then called the office at 4:25pm. The front desk attempted to reach Dr. Juliao several times to get a status update. I was told she was not running behind due to patients so no one was sure where was this on this Friday afternoon at 4:30pm. Eventually, Dr. Juliao joined at 4:47pm for this 4:15 telehealth visit. It was just a check in, and so the consultation with Dr. Juliao ended by 4:52 (5 minutes). I appreciated the brevity as I only needed to check in regarding new medication. But I did not appreciate being online since 4pm (as instructed by Emory) and not having anyone reach out about the wait until I physically called the office. The total wait to be seen for this telehealth visit was 47 min (32 minutes from scheduled appt time).
Dr.Juliao is an exceptional clinician. She is a great listener and makes care recommendations that make sense.
My Doctor is great and sh does know how to treat her Patients.
Due to the upcoming surgery, I was concerned, but the doctor took great care and I feel made changes to my benefit. That will be a lifetime change that will help me.

The exam was very hurried. I feel like a widget on an assembly line. It happened so fast that I can barely remember the exam, and there was no time to ask questions. This is not a complaint about the doctor; it is a complaint about your system. I have been seeing this doctor since just before Emory took over another provider, and this gets worse every year. I suspect there are quotas and productivity pressures from above.

I couldn't believe what I had to go through to get a good prescription for my uti. The fist one said it had not been completely researched for the elderly. The side effects were awful, including death.

My experience with the care, provider, Dr. Juliao, Andrea Palmer was already stated. She was impersonal and seemingly indifferent to my questions and requests. Her concentration was putting info into the computer having little or no face-to-face and eye contacts with me.

Does not always pay enough attention to what patient is saying. Patient always feels rushed, like dr is in a hurry. Dr very focused on computer rather than looking at patient during discussions. Appointment times are often insufficient in length od time to cover everything a pt with multiple issues needs to have addressed.

Dr. Juliao was very thorough in this exam. She explained what she was doing, and when she heard something irregular (abdominal bruit), she took time to explain what she was doing; what the implications could be, and she also explained the ultrasound. She did all this in a confident, common sense way so I left not being worried but feeling good that she had been so thorough. (The ultrasound revealed no AAA.)

They listened to my concerns, asked relevant medical questions, gave me a chewable aspirin that I requested, took my BP and temperature, gave me an EKG, etc., and stated that It did not seem I was having a heart attack. However, as I had experienced a major heart attack several years previously, I asked that they call an ambulance which they did. I was kept under observation until the ambulance arrived.
I don't recommend doctors.
