Dr Wurapa is wonderful. He took the time to really explain to me what was going on with my wound. He has been Communicative throughout my care and clearly has a depth of understanding about infectious disease.

Dr. Wurapa makes sure I understand the healing process of my wound. He informs me of what I need to continue to do to help improve my healing process.

I feel Dr. Wurapa should be teaching a master class on patient care, beside manner, making the information digestible, and spearheading the care needed outside of his office to maximize wound healing and staying off negative outcomes. He is simply the standard in my experiences of what a caring physician should be and goes above and beyond the call in making positive impacts. I wish every physician was like him.

After reviewing the current condition of my feet and ankles being wrapped, et al. Dr. Wurapa and my advising that I was still having some pain (I guess diabetic neuropathy) he prescribed a drug which I began taking last night and this morning I had no real pain. I went to PT today and did just fine with multiple exercises. So my pain issue appears to have been addressed well.

My advanced age and the remote prospects for healing make it very difficult for me. Doctor and nurse heard and commented on the impossibility of finding footwear that would not directly impact the pressure on the wound. Also stepped up to provide plastic foam bandaging method that I had learned about form visiting nurse
