About

Carly Yasinski is a licensed clinical psychologist and assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Emory University School of Medicine. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Delaware, completed her clinical internship at the Medical College of Georgia and Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship with the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program under Drs. Barbara Rothbaum and Sheila Rauch, internationally-recognized experts in exposure therapy for PTSD. Yasinski currently sees patients through the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program and the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry program.
Yasinski specializes in providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for depression, PTSD, and anxiety disorders. She has published articles and book chapters on these approaches, and regularly presents her research at national conferences. She provides a compassionate and individualized approach to therapy that uses research-supported methods to treat each patient's unique problems. Dr. Yasinski has specialized training and experience in exposure-based approaches, including Prolonged Exposure therapy for PTSD, Exposure-Based CBT for Depression, and Exposure and Response Prevention for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. She also has expertise in mindfulness-based approaches to treatment, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy. 

Carly Yasinski is a clinician for the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program, a nationally recognized center of excellence for healing the invisible wounds of military service. The Emory Healthcare Veterans Program treats conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), military sexual trauma (MST), anxiety, and depression. Treatment is free and confidential for eligible post-9/11 veterans and service members, living anywhere in the United States, regardless of discharge status, deployment history, or length of service. The two-week Intensive Outpatient Program is offered in-person at our clinic in Atlanta, Georgia, or via telehealth in eligible states.

Dr. Yasinski Is extremely knowledge & caring. She listens to my problems & is very focused on helping me not to ruminate or continue to criticize myself.
