Dr. B is a fantastic numerologist. She is always so positive and encouraging. She gave me a suggestion on how to take my medication late at night which made a huge improvement. She makes my 3 hour trip from Alabama worthwhile.

Dr. Buetefisch does a great job navigating my feedback about things often difficult to describe. I never feel like a lab rat, but like a cared for patient whose quality of llfe she.works to optimize to the extent the DBS technology will allow.

Every staff member was very nice. I don't know who trains the staff members there, but they are doing an excellent job. As I fight, the battle of Parkinson's, I look around me and my wife and I feel that we have the best team we could ever have. Keep up the good work.

I always enjoy my visits to Dr B and her array of guests participants. While at times I feel a little bit like a lab rat as they observe me during the process, I understand the importance of having people observe me as settings are tweaked. The fact that multiple people share their thoughts on my tremors as adjustments are made seems like a big positive, and I am able to learn a bit myself listening in on their discussions.

Dr. Buetefisch spent at least 90 minutes with me. She fine-tuned my DBS settings by performing a thorough exam with each change. Included my husband in assessing changes. Such a different experience from UAB.

I also had a referral to UAB neurology and Emory was so much better in the exam, explanation of treatments and engagement.

It's a very complex system they've installed in my brain, and the doctor has done a great job of explaining what I need to know, and the implications of decisions we make in the operation of that system regarding my tremors.
