Dr Rye is a fantastic, caring doctor. I have been coming to Atlanta for 12 years to see him, as he is one of the few doctors knowledgeable about Idiopathic Hypersomnia.

I have had a lot of issues in a very short period of time. Dr. Rye took the time to review everything, ask a lot of questions, and be sure he understood what was going on.

I met with Dr. Rye and an assistant. Both were very focused and concerned about my sleep disorders and helping me with a plan to improve my quality of sleep and quality of life. I was especially having problems with titrating the medications I am taking to control my restless legs symptoms during sleep (nighttime and napping) and breakthrough episodes during daytime sitting (e.g., traveling in a car or airplane, sitting in a movie theater, concert or sporting events). I left my visit with Dr. Rye feeling very positive and optimistic about the medications and clinical plan Dr. Rye put in place for me. I first saw Dr. Rye in 2005, and he has been very important over the years with helping me maintain optimism and hope while coping with my sleep disorders. I am very thankful for his support and expertise.

I love Dr. Rye. At last I've found a physician who understands what I and others with my condition suffer through. Dr. Rye takes the time to fully explore my symptoms and their effect on my life. I can't tell you how much my life has changed with the excellent care I have received.

I highly recommend Dr. Rye. He practices both the art and science of medicine. He has been willing to deal with me, and I have a very esoteric group of symptoms and conditions. And I think most professions prefer an easier set of conditions to tackle. I am so grateful to have access to the care.

I have been having nosebleeds from using the cpap machine. He showed no interest in helping me figure out how to help. Also I asked about Zepbound for OSA. He said his team was not looking into it. Both responses seemed like he was not interested enough to look into it.

Dr. Rye is the best all to neurologist. I trust his expertise with my RLS and my sleep apnea. He is in the cutting edge in terms of research. He listens to my concerns and summarized the visit details at the end of the visit.

Dr. Rye listens, and is open to my views.

3 out of 5 Reviewed on 2024-08-05

Dr. Rye talks way too much about himself and his health. He does not do it to illustrate a point. It is almost as if he can't stop himself from complaining about his life and his medical problems. He needs a remedial course in how to relate to patients. For these reasons I can not refer people to him. He may be an esteemed researcher, but he is not a caring clinician.

Dr Rye is consistently attentive and insightful as he considers diagnostic and treatment possibilities for my multifaceted medical dilemmas. I greatly appreciate his diagnostic and therapeutic expertise.

Dr. Rye is the best of the best! He is extremely knowledgeable, he listens and includes me in decisions about my care, explains well and answers any questions I have. I have 100% trust in him and it is obvious that he keeps up with the newest information on my disorder which, along with being a 10+ year patient, gives me the very best care available. He is a very rare combination of caring, listening, involving me, and being willing and able to provide me with the most cutting edge treatment options available anywhere in the world.
