Dr Kobe is very knowledgeable and I like how she gave me informational handouts about my IUD

Dr. Kobe was beyond thorough and went to great lengths to explain everything she did. She's very calming and made me feel really relaxed and confident that I was in the best place I could be for any issues that may arise.

Would have preferred to meet the doctor fully clothed and only undressed if she chose to do an exam. Being undressed for a conversation and then not being examined added additional discomfort that wasn't needed

Dr Kobe was attentive and communicated well

Overall, Dr. Kobe did a good job of taking me seriously and explaining a plan of care. I was just a bit caught off guard that she took a swab, and then only after she took it and sent it in for STI testing did she tell me that she had done that. She told me she was checking my cervix for abnormalities, so I felt a bit tricked/not included in my care.

Dr Kobe and her assistance were very attentive and caring

Dr Kobe was very focused on telling me I need psychiatric help instead of any help that she could provide. In my opinion she used the things I told her about my struggle with (in my opinion) perimenopause symptoms against me in this way. She suggested a referral to psychiatry and a vitamin D check. When I asked her if low vitamin D could cause the irregularity in my periods that I've been experiencing, she said "it doesn't all have to be one thing" and suggested birth control pills to mask the symptom without giving an opinion on why my periods are irregular after being clockwork regular my entire life. She was pushing the concept of SSRIs pretty hard, even after hearing that I've used both SSRIs and birth control before and I don't want to be on them. I think she stopped listening to me very early on. I would definitely not return to this provider. I accept that not every doctor has the same opinion and I can't expect one doctor to follow the treatment plan of another. I was desperate enough to take the risk of seeing a new doctor to get help a couple months sooner. However, I feel the hyper focus on my mental health to the point that she was brushing off my questions related to her actual area of expertise was inappropriate and unprofessional.

This isn't all on Dr. Kobe as I was rushing through my questions (I explained why in my earlier comments/feedback), however I didn't feel like she was super engaged in meeting with me. She didn't really speak a whole lot when I did have questions (she answered them, but it was very brief).

Dr. Kobe was amazing, she listened to all my concerns and understood that I wanted to try holistic medicine as a part of my care as well as prescription. She did an amazing job helping me to understand that the things I was currently using were not really blood pressure alternatives but more anti-inflammatories and gave me alternatives like hibiscus and other things to try as well as diet and other exercise discussions. I feel that she took in to account my whole well-being while also giving me cautious advice on alternatives. For me, she took the practice of medicine and alternative medicine to a new level and not only gave great advice but also educated me on my whole health.
