About

Dr. Lyon practices primarily transplant infectious diseases. He has a clinical and research interest in fungal infections and CMV infections, among others. After training in New England, he has a clinical interest in Lyme disease. He was a member of the Emory Team Ebola in 2014 and continues to actively conduct research on patient and healthcare worker safety in high-level biocontainment units.

Dr. Lyon listened to everything I had to say and never once made me feel as though my concerns were unreasonable or dismissed. Instead, he showed compassion, patience, and understanding. I felt heard and supported. Most importantly, he laid out a thoughtful and clear plan for how we should proceed with my health issues. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern made a world of difference, and I am deeply grateful for the care he has provided.
