It was our first visit with Dr. Koff. We don't know her that well, but were happy overall with the visit. Our past experiences always had lab results at the time of the appt. We didn't have them when she came in...and I prefer going over my results with the dr at the time of the visit.

Dr Koff is always great. She takes her time and is not rushed. Explains things very well and answered all my questions. I was actually complete with my appt before it was even scheduled. Appt was at 12:40 and I walked out of the clinic by 12:30. Thank you.

First I met with a resident who was assisting Dr. Koff. I believe her name was Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee entered the room with a sheet of paper which I believe included results of my recent PT CT scan. She read from the paper as if it was the first time she'd reviewed my results. She asked if I'd seen the results and I had but I replied I wasn't sure how to interpret them. She gave some numbers and indicated the numbers might give reason to start treatment and then said Dr. Koff would be in shortly. When they both returned Dr. Koff said something completely different. I felt Dr. Lee was not familiar with my case and was looking over the results of my latest scan for the first time while in the room with me. This being the first appointment with a new Dr. After Dr. Romansik left Emory, I felt a lack of knowledge or understanding about my case by Dr. Lee was evident. Dr. Koff did know about my case and that led to somewhat conflicting info being communicated to me at a time when after transferring to a new dr, first impressions are somewhat important.

In the course of my appointments over the years, it has been the custom at Emory to take my blood sample before my appointment with my doctor. In the case of my first appointment with Dr. Koff,, the bloodwork was taken after the interview with the doctor thus, I really did not get any medical opinion from Dr Koff on the blood work that was drawn post-appointment.
