Dr. Whitley is hands down the best physician I've had experience with as a d1 athlete that has seen and had numerous medical experiences and interactions. What It comes down to is a culture of CARE. From the start you don't feel rushed to talk through your experiences and injury history. He listens and listens carefully. Second, he wants to find the solution that is both bespoke to your individual needs rather than rushing to cut and do a surgery. Third, you can tell that he cares for you as a human being experiencing pain, upholding the core principles of being a physician, he not only does not cause harm but actively seeks to create good for the patient. Lastly, he ensures education and awareness of the care plan, giving you time to think of questions instead of asking if you have any, waiting 3 seconds, and already heading out the door (an experience I have personally had many times over). Dr. Whitley is the model physician, stands for everything we seem to lack in the average medical system: care, patience, and focus on the unique patient rather than the average statistic.

He was nice and answered my questions to my satisfaction he just didn't offer anything prior too a question outside an introduction. However l did feel comfortable and would recommend him l just felt he could exhibit better "bedside manners" they really go along way with patients .

My worst appointment with Emory in five years
The Dr read my test results and was through in his explanation of the results. I truly feel the area that was tested was not the area in which my pain resides. It was deemed the test results were inconclusive for the area in which I was seeking treatment. I felt the need for a second opinion and after that doctor reviewed the imaging, he determined I have scar tissue forming on y uterus which has caused a femoral hernia in the area and is leaking fluid into my hip area! This pain has been going on for quite some time and it's very disappointing the ordering provider didn't see this problem when reading my results.

Dr. Whitley was a great listener, explained my xrays and diagnosis, and gave a comprehensive overview of treatment options. He was efficient and never appeared rushed. He gave me ample opportunities to ask questions and gave clear follow up instructions. He gave me a cortisone shot in each knee to give me some immediate relief and get me through an upcoming physically strenuous six weeks. I will then contact him to set up a series of gel injections. He was personable, communicative, and strategic in his recommendations. I look forward to working with him and feel great about meeting him.
