About

Dr. Masor is R. Randall Rollins Professor, Rollins Distinguished Clinician, Emory Department of Medicine Master Clinician, and Associate Professor of Medicine (Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics).   He is board certified in internal medicine.  He joined the Emory general internal medicine faculty in 1986 following his internal medicine residency at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals.  Dr. Masor holds a B.A. degree in Biology from Brandeis University and a medical degree from UMDNJ - New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Masor has worked with Emory Executive Health patients for the past 33 years and greatly enjoys this aspect of our medical practice.  In addition, he sees patients in the Emory Special Diagnostic Services Clinic and in the primary care internal medicine practice.   Administratively, he has served on several institutional committees including the Emory Hospital Medical Practice Committee for over 25 years and more recently elected ( in 2015 and re-elected 2018) as representative for Emory University Hospital to the Emory Healthcare Local Health Network.  
Dr. Masor was named as the R. Randall Rollins Professor in 2018.  He was also named a Master Clinician by the Emory Department of Medicine in 2017.  Previously, Dr. Masor was also appointed a Rollins Distinguished Clinician in 2013 by the Emory University School of Medicine. In addition, he was also recognized by Emory University School of Medicine with the Paul W. Seavey Senior Clinician Educator Award in 1997.  He has received awards for outstanding patient satisfaction as voted by his patients at The Emory Clinic and for multiple "Top Doctors" recognitions in internal medicine as voted by his peers.   Other significant honors include election to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society in 1983 as a senior medical student and election to Fellowship of the American College of Physicians in 1991.  
Dr. Masor has been thrilled to be a member of the Emory family for essentially his entire career and looks forward to serving our patients for many more years.

Dr. Masor used to be one of the best. A true doctor's doctor. He was attentive and focused on patient interaction. Now, his face if buried in the computer screen looking up patient history or entering data. It appears he's half-listening and mostly just listening to see when he needs to refer me out to another doctor specialty.

Again, the doctor consultation during the physical was limited in its effectiveness because all of the test results were not available. Instead of a comprehensive face to face discussion with the Doctor, I have had to look at test result updates in my chart where I am not educated on the purpose of each test.

Dr. Masor is always very professional. He listens carefully answering any questions I have and explains treatment options and refers me to a specialist if necessary. I live in Powder Springs and am 75 years old so it is quite a drive to the office but it is the faith I have in Dr. Masor that makes it worthwhile. My mother lived to be 95 and I am convinced she would have died at 87 if not for Dr. Masor's involvement in her treatment after she nearly died at another hospital.
