I really trust Dr. Kneer, he tells you all your options and gives his suggestions. After seeing three different orthopedists over 5 years about my left knee, he was the first doctor to say I needed a knee replacement. Today I received guided injections for my carpal tunnel. This is the second time he's done it. He did an excellent job hardly any pain and actually the second injection is working better than the first. I highly recommendHim and his team!

Best Doc I've ever had

10 stars! I'm pretty sure you get all five star views of Dr. Kneer. I was referred to him by my wife, a recently referred my mother-in-law to see him about her knee. Dr.Kneer is thoughtful in his approach and doesn't talk about surgery as a first option. I've had the fortune of getting injections and fluid drawn from many places, but there is no one more skilled than he is at it. Dr.Kneer also breaks down in simplistic terms what he sees, he shares the x-rays with you and talks through them and at the end, you're given a sense of comfort and confidence about the path to getting better. I like his common sense, no nonsense approach to helping. I feel blessed to be a patient of his, although I'd like not to see him because I don't need him. Since that has not been the case and I do need him, I'm thankful he's my Doc.

Lee Kneer is great! He's an athlete and so understands the concerns of active people. I also liked his in-depth explanation of the problem. He almost seemed a little too confident of the diagnosis, which makes me want to get a second opinion because sometimes I worry that confidence blinds us to alternative explanations. However, since he didn't recommend any medical or surgical intervention, only some PT lessons, it seems pretty benign to try that route first and then seek a second opinion if it doesn't result in improvements.

Dr. Kneer is fantastic. Takes time to explain everything. I like that he tells me what to do and not do after any procedure so that I can help avoid the problem in the future. EX: how to lift things the proper way with your hands.

Recommended so many times that new patients are arriving at your office. There may be a stampede of people who are realizing that knee replacement is not the only option and probably not the best. They follow me around the YMCA and ask how I am able to work out without having surgical procedures. Kneer is knee spelled with the r. Dr. Kneer is absolutely the best ortho doc!! His demeanor is so pleasant, he makes everything easy to understand, and is very gentle with a 2" needle!! I tell everyone I know if they ever need an ortho doc, Dr. Kneer is their guy!

Dr. Kneer took the time to thoroughly review options for a multitude of treatments and the prospective possible outcome for each helping me determine the next best step, then after the MRI, visually walked me through each of the concerns raised in the MRI. He could not have been more thorough and caring.

The doctor spent very, very little time explaining treatment options. As I understand it, there are about 3 options: physical therapy (although I already was in that), surgery, a steroid shot. I'd like to know how long it takes for the steroid shot to take effect and about what percentage of the time does the steroid shot remove pain.

Dr. Kneer shared information in lay terms, and answered all my questions. I very much enjoyed meeting him and my visit overall.

I explained that I came to get my knees aspirated, and he explained that it's not always a necessity to do that. The more we talked and I said that my left knee had been giving out, he said that was an indication of aspiration being helpful, so we decided to do just that knee. I appreciated that he wanted me to understand why and when to do that procedure, and he involved me in the decision.

Dr. Kneer is excellent. He listens to my concerns and then thoroughly explains the causes and possible solutions. I feel involved in any decision and know he does everything he can to enable me to be as active as possible.

Dr Kneer was outstanding in his explanation of options for my knee pain and performed a painless knee injection of gel and removal of fluid on my knee.

This was my second visit with Dr. Kneer. During my first visit he gave me an injection in my hip, that lowered the pain. It wore off in about a week as he told me it would, and that a second injection was possible. He completed that portion of the visit. I was also doing a series of exercises that I got off the internet. He prescribed PT at Emory and I have make that appointment.
