About

Since 1995, when she accepted a combined faculty appointment at the Atlanta VA Medical Center and Emory University, she has initiated and developed a research program focused on how to drive quality research through accruals to National Cancer Institute clinical trials and how to improve quality cancer care in the face of limited resources.
Dr. Ribeiro received her Medical Degree at the Federal University of Minas Gerais Medical School in Brazil in 1984. She completed her Internship at Harlem Hospital and Medical Center in New York in 1988, where she also completed her Residency in 1990. Dr Ribeiro then went on to complete Fellowships at University of Connecticut Health Center in 1991, at Emory University Hospital in 1994, and at Centers for Disease Control National Center for Infectious Diseases in 1994.
