Marwan Kazimi completed his MD at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in Bronx, NY (2001). Dr. Kazimi completed his residency in General Surgery at Tufts-New England Medical Center (2006) and his fellowship in Abdominal Transplant Surgery at Indiana University Medical Center/Clarian Health (2008). His primary clinical focus is abdominal organ transplant and hepatobiliary surgery, with a particular interest in living donor liver transplant, evaluation and use of extended criteria liver allografts, and multidisciplinary care of HCC. Prior to joining the faculty at Emory in 2023, Dr. Kazimi held positions at Henry Ford Health Systems, Piedmont Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. His articles have been published in a number of leading journals including Pediatrics, Cardiology, and Transplantation. Dr. Kazimi will serve as the Surgical Director for the Liver Transplant Program in the Emory Transplant Center within the Transplant Division in the Department of Surgery.
